With VFiles quickly building up their much deserved spot in the art and fashion world (especially in 2014 and with much more to come in 2015), they have cleverly found a way to attract a loyal fan base. The VFiles website – a completely original and fresh way to shop, trend watch, share artwork, photography, design, etc. and connect/collaborate with other artists – has grown to be a land of opportunity. By giving contributors the chance to prove they have what it takes by entering into a competition to take part in Fashion Week, this is the third year of VFiles Made Fashion. Four designers were selected including Ximon Lee, Andrea Jiapei Li, Discount Universe, and Julia Seemann, one photographer – Seung Lee, two hair/make-up artists -Andrea Samuels and Braydon Nelson, one stylist – Mitch McGuire, and a handful of models to create a highly collaborative show under the mentoring of Italo Zucchelli, Design Director for Calvin Klein. DJ/Producer A-Trak took control of sound, and the show was set in place and ready to launch.
The show opened with a line of models on scooters sporting the VFiles in-house line, followed by the short collections by the chosen designers who each had their own style and innovative elements – one of which included a poodle as an accessory.
