Rest In Paradise, David Bowie

In a 1973 interview, Russell Harty asked David Bowie, “Do you indulge in any form of worship?” Bowie responded with, “Uh. Life. I love life very much indeed.”

There we were, five friends sitting “on top of the world” (a view looking over all of Hollywood), when the news suddenly hit. One moment everyone was quiet with peace, the next everyone was quiet, drowning emotion. David Bowie, the man who inspired so many generations of art, music, film, style, and culture, had died. His statement read: “January 10 2016 – David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”

As we mourn the loss of one of the world’s greatest heroes, let us remember the great impact he has had on different aspects of everyone’s lives and let us not forget his ability to fall a little, only to get right back up on top. Rest in paradise Starman, you are forever.
